Awareness campaign for “World No Alcohol Day”

To mark “World No Alcohol Day”, the team from the JA Prevent NCD project at the Valdecilla Health Research Institute (IDIVAL), together with the Directorate-General for Public Health, carried out an awareness campaign on alcohol consumption in the municipality of Camargo.

During the activity, the AUDIT-C questionnaire was administered to identify potential risky drinking habits among participants. In addition, motivational interventions were offered and the risks associated with alcohol consumption were explained.

Informational brochures and other materials related to alcohol-use prevention were also distributed.

JA Prevent NCD is a joint action funded by the European Union aimed at reducing the burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and cancer. This project, supported by IDIVAL, seeks to strengthen Member States’ capacity to implement effective prevention strategies and reduce social inequalities related to these diseases.
