National Public Funding

This unit manages competitive funds from the Spanish General State Administration. The Program depends to the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (with core competencies in research and technological development) is the National R&D plan. This plan is structured based on Instrumental Action Lines. One of them is the Strategic Action in Health managed by the Institute of Health Carlos III, the main competitive funding public body of IDIVAL.

International Projects

This unit provides support to the research staff of the Institute in the development of proposals for research projects in international programs. Its activity mainly focuses on the management of European projects, and specifically in the Horizon 2020 program.

IDIVAL Funding

IDIVAL promotes research in its environment with competitive grants, especially targeting researchers in training, innovation projects and research groups.


The programs supporting research include contracts post-residency, summer scholarships, grants for research groups, call for projects Next-Val for young researchers, call for projects Inn-Val for innovation projects, predoctoral contracts, mentoring program for residents, Innplant program to attract new Heads of Service to the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla. .

Through this unit IDIVAL supports the management of grants, agreements and contracts research services proven origin both in its preparation and follow-up.
