Innovation

Acelerador

IDIVAL carry out activities to promote a culture of innovation, research and evaluation of technological solutions, preparation and drafting of R & D, seeking funding, as well as all activities necessary to ensure that the results of R & D, from research groups and researchers IDIVAL and the Cantabrian Health Service, reach society through public-private partnerships.

We hope that innovation becomes one of the main engines of economic and social development of our environment, and that its results have a direct impact on the prestige of the hospital and the autonomous community.

The main objective is to generate innovation in technology and sanitary material in the non-pharmacological sector, within the following fields:

    - Equipment
    - Dispositives
    - Reagents
    - Materials
    - ICT in Health

IDIVAL is part of this Unit of the Platform for Innovation in Sanitary Medical Technologies of the Carlos III Health Institute (ITEMAS).

Technology Transfer Office

IDIVAL Technology Transfer Office (TTO) is responsible for industrial property and articulates the necessary transfer arrangements. Is a key communication link between our researchers and other agents in the R & D: universities, OPIs, other hospitals, foundations, associations, etc. on issues related to the transfer. Its main activities are:

  • Detection of research results can be protected industrially.
  • Application and management of intellectual property rights.
  • Marketing Work / transfer of IPRs.
  • Support in creating spin-off from the research groups of the institute.
  • Processing of CDAs, RCAs, MTAs and other similar agreements.

The framework that governs industrial property in IDIVAL is contained in the IDIVAL regulation

Evaltec

The IDIVAL Innovation Support Unit, in collaboration with the Valdecilla Virtual Hospital, develops the EValTec (Valdecilla Heatlh Technologies Assessment) program. The EValTec program considers the Human Factor as a tool for changing organizations and improving patient safety.
