The Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute (IDIVAL) will hold a conference on Administrative Simplification next Tuesday, October 22. The event aims to reflect on the progress, challenges, and opportunities offered by the simplification of administrative processes within the region’s public healthcare system.
The session, scheduled from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., will take place in the Session Hall (3rd floor) at IDIVAL. It will bring together management representatives and administrative experts from the Autonomous Community, with the goal of promoting a more agile, transparent, and efficient administration in the service of citizens. Participation is limited to public healthcare personnel.
The conference will open with remarks by Galo Peralta, Managing Director of IDIVAL, and Leticia López, Deputy Director of Economic Management and Infrastructure of the Cantabrian Health Service (SCS).
This will be followed by a presentation titled “Administrative Simplification in the Public Health System of Cantabria: Progress, Challenges, and Opportunities”, delivered by Paulino Sánchez Menéndez, Director General for Administrative Simplification of the Government of Cantabria, and María Milagros Estrada Martínez, Deputy Director General for Administrative Simplification, Transparency, and Citizen Participation.
The event will continue with a moderated open debate and discussion involving both speakers and attendees, encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences related to administrative management in the public sector.
This conference is part of IDIVAL and the SCS’s commitment to continuous improvement in public management, in line with Law 9/2017 on Public Sector Contracts, and Orders HFP/1031/2021 and HFP/55/2023, which regulate transparency, oversight, and efficiency in the implementation of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
