IDIVAL organizes the 7th edition of the course “Neurology Update. Neurology in Primary Care”

The Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute (IDIVAL) is organizing the 7th edition of the course “Neurology Update. Neurology in Primary Care”, which will take place on February 10, 11 and 12, 2026, at the Hotel Palacio de Arce (Puente Arce).

The course will be directed and coordinated by Manuel Delgado Alvarado and Javier Riancho Zarrabeitia, neurologists at Sierrallana Hospital, and is specially designed for Primary Care professionals interested in updating and strengthening their knowledge of the most common neurological conditions encountered in daily clinical practice.

Over the course of three days, the program will address, from a highly practical perspective, the diagnosis and management of common neurological problems seen in Primary Care consultations. Featured topics include the evaluation of patients with cognitive impairment, the management of tremor, neurological emergencies, multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular disease — with special attention to lipid-lowering and anticoagulant treatment — as well as the approach to headaches, epilepsy, insomnia, and other frequent symptoms such as dizziness, vertigo, diplopia, or paresthesias.

Although capacity has been reached, those interested may register by emailing neurologiaatencionprimaria@gmail.com, and their request will be accommodated as far as possible.
