IDIVAL promotes participation in the public–private collaborative projects call of the AEI

The Valdecilla Health Research Institute (IDIVAL) announces the opening of the public–private collaborative projects call, promoted by the State Research Agency (AEI). The aim of this call is to foster R&D&I projects focused on knowledge transfer and on achieving results close to market application.

This call is addressed to consortia made up of companies and research organizations and represents a strategic opportunity to promote the experimental development of new technologies, products, and innovative services, strengthen private investment in R&D, generate highly qualified employment, and improve the competitiveness of the business sector.

Projects must have a duration of three years, starting in 2026, and a minimum total budget of €350,000, consisting exclusively of direct costs. The company will act as the lead entity of the consortium and must ensure a minimum business participation of 51% of the total budget.

Key aspects of the call:
• Type of project: Experimental development in public–private collaboration.
• Duration: 3 years.
• Minimum total budget: €350,000.
• Consortium structure: At least one company and one or more research organizations, with a minimum participation of 10% per entity.
• Evaluation: Project quality and feasibility, consortium capacity, expected impact, and budget adequacy.

Applications must include a single technical proposal, with a maximum length of 40 pages, covering the project objectives, methodology, work plan, expected impact, and budget.

In order to facilitate the proper preparation of proposals, IDIVAL will carry out a prior internal evaluation of applications through its Internal Scientific Council.

Deadlines:
• Internal IDIVAL deadline: until January 19, 2026, at 12:00 noon.
• Official call deadline: from January 9 to January 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (peninsular time).
