The European SAM project, led by the Valdecilla Health Research Institute (IDIVAL) and coordinated by Olga De Cos, researcher in the Health Economics Research Group, will take part on September 10 and 11 in the Summer Course of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) dedicated to the 25 years of cooperation in Southwestern Europe, organized by the Interreg Sudoe programme.
The event, held at the Palacio de la Magdalena (Santander), will bring together representatives of projects and entities linked to the programme to analyse the main challenges, achievements, and opportunities of territorial cooperation within the SUDOE area.
Representing the SAM project, Olga De Cos will participate in the round table “Cooperating Takes You Far: Three Interreg Sudoe Testimonials”, where she will share the project’s experience and present the most relevant progress achieved throughout its development. Her contribution will highlight the role of transnational cooperation as a driver for innovative solutions in the fields of health, territorial development, and knowledge management.
SAM’s presence in this forum represents a strategic opportunity to showcase the work of IDIVAL’s Health Economics Research Group, whose analytical and multidisciplinary approach has been key to guiding the project toward applicable, high‑impact results. Likewise, the course will provide a space to exchange experiences with other European projects, fostering the sharing of best practices in innovation, health, and cross‑border cooperation.
