The European Projects Office of the Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute (IDIVAL) is launching the 2026 European Training Sessions, an initiative aimed at researchers, healthcare professionals and research support staff interested in learning about the opportunities offered by European R&D&I funding programmes. The activity is also open to anyone interested in research, innovation and European programmes.
The aim of this series is to provide practical and accessible information on calls for proposals, funding instruments and key aspects of preparing and participating in European projects, contributing to strengthening research and innovation capacities in health.
The first session, entitled “EIC Pathfinder: Boosting Innovative Ideas with High Potential”, will take place on 28 September 2026 in an online and free-of-charge format. The session will last approximately one and a half hours and will be delivered by Marta Marín and Pablo Fernández. The session will provide an introduction to the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the EIC Pathfinder Open and EIC Pathfinder Challenges calls, addressing their main features, objectives and participation opportunities. In addition, practical recommendations for preparing proposals under Pathfinder Challenges will be shared, followed by a final session for attendees to raise questions and clarify any doubts.
Through this series, IDIVAL will offer different training sessions over the coming months aimed at facilitating researchers’ access to and participation in European research and innovation programmes. The full programme will be announced progressively as the different planned activities are confirmed.
