The town of Tagle will once again be awash in orange for the XI Solidarity March in Memory of Lucía Chusa Blanco, an emotional tribute to little Lucía, who passed away from leukemia. Over the years, this event has become one of the municipality’s most anticipated solidarity gatherings. This year’s edition will take place on Sunday, September 21, starting at 11:00 a.m.
Under the motto “Together we are UNSTOPPABLE!”, family members, friends, neighbors, and visitors will walk through Tagle and its surroundings during a day filled with activities for all ages, blending sports, music, community, and solidarity. The main goal is to raise awareness about the importance of bone marrow donation and to collect funds for research in the fight against leukemia.
The XI Solidarity March in Memory of Lucía Chusa Blanco is supported by the Suances City Council and numerous collaborating organizations and companies, many of them local, who have joined this cause to promote visibility and support for scientific research.
All proceeds will go entirely to the Josep Carreras Foundation against Leukemia and the Valdecilla Health Research Institute (IDIVAL), thereby helping to finance research projects that advance the search for effective treatments and offer hope to patients.
