The Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute (IDIVAL) and the Cantabrian Health Service (SCS) are organizing a Training Session on Public Procurement aimed at healthcare and management professionals. The session will take place on Tuesday, October 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the aim of updating and strengthening practical knowledge on the preparation of procurement files within the framework of the Spanish Public Sector Contracts Law (LCSP).
The training program will cover key aspects such as essential documentation (PCAP and PPT), the preparation of the characteristics chart while avoiding common mistakes, and best practices in drafting technical specifications. It will also provide an in-depth look at the configuration of penalties and award criteria, both subjective (value judgment) and objective (quality-based), with particular attention to proportionality and proper weighting.
The session will also include a specific section on recent developments in the application of the LCSP, based on the criteria of consultative bodies and decisions issued by public procurement review tribunals.
A distinguishing feature of the training will be its practical and interactive approach, as participants will be able to raise real-life questions and work with examples and their own procurement files, guided by specialists.
This initiative is supported by GILEAD.
