The Hematology Department of the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital will host, on November 25 and 26, 2025, the “Theoretical–Practical Preceptorship on the Management of Multiple Myeloma and New Immunotherapeutic Strategies,” sponsored by PERMANYER PORTUGAL LTDA.
This training program is aimed at hematologists interested in updating their knowledge of the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple myeloma and other monoclonal gammopathies. During the first session, and drawing on the center’s clinical expertise, key topics will be addressed, including the management of clinical trials, the implementation of advanced therapy units, and coordination with the Home Hospitalization Service, as well as several presentations focused on the different stages of the disease.
The second session, which will take place at the Valdecilla Virtual Hospital, will be devoted entirely to the practical management of immunotherapy and its complications, including cytokine release syndrome, neurotoxicity, and other adverse effects. Attendees will participate in clinical case discussions and training activities designed to facilitate the direct application of these techniques in their clinical practice. The hospital invites interested professionals to visit its facilities and take part in a program that seeks to strengthen advanced training in a rapidly evolving therapeutic area.
