Extraordinary call for research managers training program GES-VAL open until June 17

An opportunity to train and gain experience in research management in a health institute accredited by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III.

The GES-VAL program for the training of research managers aims to promote the professional practice and training of technicians in aspects related to the management and support of research, by learning aspects related to the management, monitoring and evaluation of research promotion activities, as well as internationalization and innovation activities in the field of health sciences and technologies.

1 temporary employment contract is announced for the development of activities in the field of research management in the scientific production unit of the Institute. An opportunity to get to know the IDIVAL Institute, its organization and management, developing functions related to the management and updating of the Institute’s scientific production databases. The research portal is a fundamental tool that makes the Institute’s research visible at national and international level. Among other functions to be developed will be to support in the updating of information systems in the bibliometric field, exploitation of information systems and the database for the preparation of documentation, reports and scientific production reports and contact with researchers to advise them and provide support in the field of scientific production.

The internship contract will have a duration of 12 months, counting from the date of incorporation, the trial period will be two months. The selected candidate will develop a tutored training itinerary, with periodic evaluations and presentation of a report at the end of the first year.

Requisitos de los candidatos

First cycle university graduates are eligible for the Ges-Val program. In all cases, these must be official Spanish degrees and, if they have been obtained abroad, they must be officially recognized on the date of the deadline for submitting applications, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The contract may be entered into with those in possession of the required university degree, provided that no more than five years have elapsed, or seven, when the contract is entered into with a disabled worker, from the completion of the studies to the start of the contract, and that they have not previously entered into another internship contract in possession of the same degree.

Required documentation

Together with the application, applicants must submit the following documentation:

a) Curriculum vitae in CVA format

b) Report of the proposal of the activities to be carried out by the candidate.

It should reflect the candidate’s interests and include general references to the different IDIVAL support areas, with a more detailed description of those that adapt to the candidate’s profile and interests: project area, training and methodological support area, clinical trials area, technological services area, innovation area and general services area. For the purposes of the evaluation process, only the information contained in the corresponding curriculum vitae and reports will be taken into account on the closing date of the application submission period. Failure to submit these within the deadline will not be correctable and will result in the exclusion of the application during the admission phase.

c) Copy of the DNI.

d) Official academic certification of the studies completed, with details of the subjects taken and the grades obtained, and, where appropriate, a copy of the academic degree.

e) Documentary accreditation of the curricular merits provided (certificate of employment, credentials of the candidate, course certificates stating the duration of the same, etc.), without which requirement they will not be taken into consideration.
