Public contracting

The Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute Foundation is a private, non-profit organisation of a foundational nature belonging to the autonomous public sector, whose assets are permanently allocated to the achievement of the institution’s own general interest objectives.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 3 of Law 9/2017, of 8 November, on Public Sector Contracts, which transposes into Spanish law the Directives of the European Parliament and of the Council 2014/23/EU and 2014/24/EU, of 26 February 2014, the Foundation is considered a contracting authority not a Public Administration (LCSP) and, therefore, is subject to this regulation in its contracting activities.

The Foundation’s Contracting Profile publishes all the information required by the LCSP and the current regulations on transparency, and is hosted on the corporate website at the following link.

In addition, since September 2018, the Foundation’s Contractor Profile has been transferred to the Public Sector Contracts Platform, and is accessible at the following link.
